The Numunon story
Numunon was born to solve what others thought impossible. For decades, AR glass makers were limited by microOLED displays that drained batteries and forced trade-offs. Our team, with roots at NASA, DARPA, Meta, and AWS, saw a better path that reimagines how light itself is controlled.
The Infinite Light Engine doesn’t just improve displays, it eliminates them. By steering laser light through MEMS mirrors, it replaces pixels with precision, enabling lightweight, all-day AR, VR or XR at a fraction of the power.
The name Numunon, from “noumenon,” meaning reality beyond perception, reflects our mission to make the invisible visible and merge the digital and physical worlds into one seamless experience.
